Well this is interesting... Ever since I got caught off guard in a country where everything was VISA and I only had a Maestro and a Mastercard, I've tried to keep cards on me from different payment providers. So I had a Rabobank Maestro debit card and a Revolut VISA prepaid creditcard. Rabobank then switched from Maestro to Mastercard debit - perfect, still got Mastercard and VISA in my pocket. But then I decided to move from Rabobank to Triodos for ethical reasons (Rabobank invests in genocide and ecocide) and Triodos gave me a VISA debit card. Then it occurred to me that my Revolut card was still in my deadname... So I requested a replacement of that Revolut prepaid VISA card, and I got a Revolut prepaid Mastercard. And order was restored!
