Wondered what 'weed whacking' was - the US peeps use it to describe what we call strimming apparently.
I was imagining them whacking the weeds with a big stick."Naughty weed! Take that!"

Anyway, while it was still in the shade, the meadow needed its annual cut, so I have been out doing some strimming.
With a strimmer.
No whacking.
Then I had to rake it all up to stop the meadow soil getting enriched by the rotting grass.

Finished just in time as it's too bloody hot to work in the full sun now. (It was too hot to work in the shade really, but litres of water and a stubborn determination to finish worked)
