we don't understand a fucking word of what this person next to us is saying, but the tone is absolutely unmistakable. especially after their baby started poking the keys on our laptop. Across all cultures, and all languages, the tone that says "baby, no, don't!" is universal

this baby is currently spitting up and trying to grab everything in sight and the parent of this kid sounds exhausted and just absolutely done with it and we have never been more like "oh, mood" in our life. we forgot that we have, in fact, done our fair share of parenting
