Commercial 6502-based microcomputers were provided with proprietary operating systems. Apex was a platform-independent 6502 operating system, though it was mostly used on the Apple II. Apex also was ported to a few non-6502 platforms. Apex was originally proprietary, but later became open-source. Are there other platform-independent open-source operating systems for the 6502?
