I wish I could learn even some basic Mandarin ;_;

But it's kinda hard to do without next to no exposure.

Like, out of East Asian languages, Japanese is relatively easy to pick up, as there's quite a lot of Japanese media available here and pronunciation kind of fits our native pronunciation (to a degree, not perfectly lol)

But Mandarin is... I think the language sounds so cool, but I really struggle getting tones out of my mouth ;_;

I can hear tones, just suck at producing them...

I cry ;_;

@miiamustang@eliitin-some.fi have you tried watching some drama adaptations of danmei and such? There are also some games that have Chinese voice over, I used to play Genshin and some of my friends started picking up Mandarin that way

The only problem with Genshin I have is that the visual style and feel doesn't appeal to me enough ;_;

But playing a game with voiceover in mandarin would be nice :3333
