Can anyone recommend how to convert regular tofu into being smoked tofu, when you don't have a smoker? I thought I saw it for sale already prepared in a store in my community. However, I can't find it now that it's desired for some fun recipes.

Tofu, hmmm… you could try a what we do with eggs, since you can marinate tofu too. My partner makes a soy and lapsong souchon tea marinade for hard boiled eggs. That particular tea is very Smokey and the eggs come out deliciously Smokey.
