Surpassing selfishness is not bc you might be him, that is selfish. It’s not bc youve taken from him what he needs. It is that you’ve withheld what he needs, to keep it for yourself. That you can’t choose your pleasure over someone s need. That you can harm by withholding (the radical change that constitutes equality itself?).
