When i come to a new page from a link on social and the first thing they do is block access to the site until i agree to accept cookies, I'm not going to accept cookies. I'm going to complain that your webpage values my personal data more than your article. Because they have a job serving good articles, at least in my mind, and my personal data is none of their business, again, at least in my mind. And if i disagree with the publication on these points I'm not holding a lot of faith in the other ideas they allowed to be printed.
