Almost four hours (including a 25 minute break) for 19.4km? Not bad! And it included a perfect connection to the train back (which was pure coincidence because I only looked at departure times the moment I walked into the station).

A screenshot of walkmeter, showing a distance of 19.38km walked in 3:57:16, and a final pace of 14:15 per km. The pace graph below it ahows a slight rise at dirst, but then a fairly consistent tempo around 10 minutes per km (with a big dip down around 11km when I took a break.

The view from the pauzebankje, painting a pretty average picture of this leg: on the right, an open field of grass as part of agriculture, brightly lit by the sun. On the left a more wooded area providing much more shade. In the foreground, from left to right, there is a sandy path which has dappled shade tha ks to the trees lining it.

Very early on I encountered this stream. It was very clear and full of plants, including these plants with pretty white flowers in the foreground.
