What a variety of characters: the illiterate deputy and his friend the alcoholic town doctor with the sheriff and his "friend" Miss Kitty who ran the saloon (and perhaps had other business interests!) I always remember the episode "Snow Train". It was great. I had to just go and look it up and the description is as I remember it:
