The day you get to take the mask off and be the person you are, life changes.
It was just this year, at 51 years old I looked in a mirror and was me, the person I recognized.
When I started to heal the 6 year old who was tossed into the mix I didnβt have to mask, I am proud of ME, you donβt like it, fuck right off.
The world almost broke me, I am thankful it didnβt.
What masking did do is allow me to learn how to not be, how to love, how to find kindness, how to serve, how to be at peace.
And everyday I have to remind myself of this.
