It's kind of funny how our muscle works by contraction, and are attached to the skeleton, so we're basically meaty string puppets puppeteered by our brains

@sotolf@polymaths.social And all of them pull from a mechanical disadvantage, so they compensate by generating insane amounts of force (insane being relative to optimal mechanics).
The brain also does a lot of work to limit their force output to prevent injury. Part of my strength training revolved around removing mental barriers, lol.
