@davidho@mastodon.world @roland I bought them a bit wider - following the trend for wider tyres - and they're rated for e-bikes. So between the extra width, the bigger inner tube, and the e-bike strength, they are much heavier.

The ride is nicer but OMG they are slow. We tried them at various pressures but they were still like riding through treacle.

It seems ‘e-bike compatible' means: you need a motor.

@davidho@mastodon.world The irony being I went from Marathon+ on my Brompton to Conti Urban Contacts because they roll better than the Marathons.

I think it is the e-bike rating which takes the biggest toll.

@baoigheallain@mastodon.ie Ok, I'm considering changing the tires on my T Line (Schwalbe One) because they seem to be paper-thin (I've gotten many flats). My P Line has the Conti CONTACT Urbans, which seems like a good choice (no flats).
