Here's an example of #China using cinematic feature films as #nationalist #propaganda. It's a very well done, high budget film. You can see how dramatic films like these are used to promote nationalistic pride. These state approved propaganda films are disguised as entertainment & are designed to brainwash citizens, over time.
It's really not that different than how the USA film industry creates a lot of state approved propaganda films that aid/abet nationalistic BS too.
*Qomolangma is #Tibetan for #MountEverest
‐----------
" It is based on the real-life expedition of four #Chinese #mountaineers in 1960. Two generations of Chinese mountaineers who scaled Mount #Qomolangma from the perilous north side in 1960 and 1975. Finally in 1975 they held the last chance and successfully reached the top of Qomolangma. It was the first success in the history of mankind to climb Qomolangma's north side. "

@PhoenixSerenity@beige.party Recently there have been plenty of high budget action movies coming from CCP, Russia and India/Pakistan, each dripping propaganda and revisionist ideas about mostly historic events. One example is the "The Battle at Lake Changjin" series (2021) from China, another would be the Modi-worshipping "Shershaah" from India.
My 94yrs old father-in-law is a war-film buff, but the one thing he despises the most watching those movies is such blatant alt-history one can observe.
