Ach wo. Wir haben ja unsere DS Break. Die ist zudem noch ein prima Transportfahrzeug.
Aber die Farbe find ich schick.

@frauxirah@chaos.social @SilviaMarton@tooting.ch @Saupreiss@pfalz.social I don't think that's an original stock color, but it looks awesome on the DS
@erik@mastodon.infrageeks.social
Do you know who has done the conversion on this DS?
@frauxirah@chaos.social @Saupreiss@pfalz.social
@SilviaMarton@tooting.ch @frauxirah@chaos.social @Saupreiss@pfalz.social Apparently a startup attached to the University of Delft. I'll ask my wife if she got the name of the company from the owner
@erik@mastodon.infrageeks.social
Ah, Delft (or better: the Netherlands). That was a good hint. I guess it's the car in this Video.

So it's EV Europe.

@SilviaMarton@tooting.ch @frauxirah@chaos.social @Saupreiss@pfalz.social Thanks for the tip: I just found their page with all of the kits they offer and now I'm off to look at the used car advertisements...

Do you live in the Netherlands? If not, I would strongly recommend to check if you can homologise such a car in your country. (France, I guess?).
We currently have a car from another dutch conversion company here in our workshop, and there is absolutely no way that this car can be homologised here in Switzerland. Customer is now probably trying to sell the car to someone in Germany, as it could be registered there...

@SilviaMarton@tooting.ch @erik@mastodon.infrageeks.social @frauxirah@chaos.social @Saupreiss@pfalz.social My understanding is that if you can get it approved in an EU country, it should be legal in every country. Not sure I want to mess with that. Do you have a link to the car and its current weight/power? Would be interesting to see. Sadly, BE has fairly strict rules too.
@SilviaMarton@tooting.ch @frauxirah@chaos.social @Saupreiss@pfalz.social I'm in France, so I should probably find a local shop if I ever get the budget
@erik@mastodon.infrageeks.social
Wasnβt there a state subsidized program to convert cars in France ?

There have been quite some startups in France. But most of them ended up with utility vehicles. Retrofit was a nice and charming idea, but economically, it's a different story.
REV was probably the most promising, but looking at their website now, it seems like they have given up on the vintage cars as well...
