Took me all weekend, but sewed myself a bicycle-themed Hawaiian shirt. Second shirt I have sewed, this one was a LOT neater and accurate. #sewing

@ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org Those are good diy skills. 👌👌
Certainly something for my downtime list next year: learn how to sew (and repair) clothes. How did you get into this? Thought it yourself? Did a course/workshop or such?

Not gonna lie, I kind of want one.

I'll trade you a couple pairs of bike grips for one. :)

@wolfinpdx@pdx.social LOL pricey shirt, bicycle printed fabric is not cheap. And it's about 3 days of labor LOL. Definitely NOT worth it to be sewing shirts to put on Etsy! VERY labor intensive.

I've heard so many men my age griping that their working wives don't sew like their moms used to do.
They have no idea that without any fabric stores still around, they are hoping for a $150 homemade tee-shirt. To save money.

@grumpasaurus@infosec.exchange If you see a man wading through floodwaters or fleeing from a wildfire in that shirt... Or picking through post-apocalytic debris for parts and supplies, that's probably me.
