I have gone on a few day trips on Van Isle. Port Alberni, Campbell River, Nanaimo and the likes. Nothing new, and I have been there before. It's just nice getting out for a ride.
The weather was super hot today, I was in Courtenay had lunch and decided to just go home and keep cool.Looks like 2 more days of heat, then it may cool down.
I'm going to Nanaimo on Tuesday though to pick up some motorcycle parts, I hope to leave early and beat the heat

Glad you got a few fun rides in. I like the ride out to Port Alberni - some nice shaded spots along the way there. Have you done much riding around North Island, past Port McNeil? Lots of cool places to explore there. Port Alice is a great ride 😊😊

I'm not enjoying the high heat - don't function too well with high humidity heat. I will need to soak in my kiddie pool very soon to cool down.

I have done the Port Alberni ride many times. Can't go there right now because of the fire at Cameron Lake (Wesley Ridge fire)
I have gone to Tofino and Ucluelet but its a long day trip for me.
Port Alberni is just over an hours ride for me from Buckley Bay. I always stop somewhere around Cathedral Grove for a break on the way home.
I don't do real long dayrides too much anymore because my stamina is getting lower as I age 😂😂

Tomorrow I'm off to Nanaimo to pick up some parts for my motorcycle. I'm going to leave real early so I can try to beat the heat coming home. The coast hwy is a bit cooler than the freeway too.

It's 30c here right now.
