X Kataquapit@CatherineBabault@mastodon.social I commented on a different thread about this same subject ... how colonizers have no qualms of demonizing and dismissing foreign cultures, yet take their artifacts and items and turn them into valuable objects of wealth and significance.
It's completely abhorrent for me to imagine how a group of people could take cultural items and value or even monetize them while at the same time dismiss and disregard an entire people.
All those items should be returned because the ongoing bartering, trading and monetization of these things is just a continuation of the colonization that started with the taking of these items.
