The Committee to Protect Journalists says 186 reporters have been confirmed killed since the start of Israel's offensive in Gaza in October 2023. These deaths weren't accidental.
This now includes Al Jazeera's Anas al Sharif, Mohammed Qreiqeh, Ibrahim Zaher, Mohammed Noufal and Moamen Aliwa. In May 2011, Al Jazeera’s media offices in the Gaza Strip were completely destroyed by an Israeli air raid. The building also housed Associated Press (AP) reporters.
