@petrillic@hachyderm.io It blew us away on its release and we couldn't understand the lukewarm critical reception! Sure enough, there's been a critical reappraisal since, and the movie is now recognised as a prescient sci-fi classic. We're not as far along the descent into fascist governance and terrorism depicted in the film, but it looks way more likely today with Reform UK advancing in the polls and Trump in power in the USA.
Plus all those continuous takes! It's also an astounding technical achievement.
