@sjvn@mastodon.social You actually don’t need an account for Oral-B. You can skip it. I don’t have an account and it still works fine even with offering data to Apple HealthKit. I think Phillips ones however do require registration and fill your mouth with innocent blood while they still do trade in Russia. Two reasons to avoid theirs.

@kDelta@mastodon.ie I'm glad to hear that! We just got a pair of these toothbrushes and didn't even realize that they had an app to begin with. I was getting worried that we'd have to return them.

It turns out you need to open it at least once every 20 brushes to keep it in sync and I just cant be bothered with it. So even my HeathKit log is near non-existent. If I do open it I only have my last 20 brushes updated.

@kDelta@mastodon.ie that's also good to know. We were just looking for basic electric toothbrushes and we got them because they were the best deal we've found. So if they also work as just regular electric toothbrushes then that's all the functionality we really need.

Glad we skipped the Phillips though.
