If customers want non fossil energy sources, they’ll end up buying them somewhere, why aren’t the fossil energy companies making the switch to sell those?

Remember the transition from horses to automobiles & bicycles.

Both innovations eradicated millions of jobs.

Buggy whip makers. Farriers. Carriage, cart & wagon makers. Blacksmiths. Saddle makers. Horse breeders. Hansom cabs. Manure collectors. Horsehair upholstery makers.

These industries vanished because there was no longer a desire to buy their products. Their markets vanished.

The fossil fuel industry doesn't want what they did, to happen to them in turn.
