Not boring, meet at a cafe, 1st date ideas - please contribute your ideas, if you have any. I really dislike boring, typical - let's have coffee 1st dates.
Some of my own ideas/things I'd love to do more, on 1st dates:
- mini-golf fun
- sandcastle building together
- having fun, trying to identity a specific number of natural species in a 1 hour time window, in one beautiful nature space
- creating a fun fingerpainting together, outdoors in a scenic place
- visiting an animals sanctuary/rescue place, open to the public
- having a beach fire & playing my 5 words, storybuilding game
- making a mixed media collage art piece together, in a park
- collecting & using driftwood pieces to build a beach fort or create a piece of collab art

rest at a park and take turns sharing favorite or important music
rest at a park and take turns telling each other stories that shaped your paths
rest at a park and make origami together, or beside each other
bring cardboard and felts, talk until a common passion is found, make signs, and protest and/or educate together
stargaze (Perseids right now!) and talk (this SHOULD be typical but isn't since, idk, TV)
remove invasive plant species
fight ghosts
write something together
take turns telling stories of scars, piercings, tattoos, and other physically-altering events
collaborate to dream up a solarpunk & hopepunk possible future, free-form with words, drawings, mind mapping, etc
assess for trustworthiness, and make good trouble
got o a public space with a table (or bring one) and bring blank paper or cardstock and felts or pencils or paints, and make cards to give to strangers who are passing by
