The worst thing we can ever do is continue to call these once in hundred year events like they're still unusual and rare occurrences.

That's just not true any longer.

We need to reframe how these horrors are reported and call them what they are.

New normals.

11” of rain doesn’t even seem possible, let alone in 12 hours. I’m not questioning this report, just expressing how hard a time I’m having comprehending the magnitude of this much rain over so short a period. At least they have an ocean all around them it can run off to.
