Given that getting on for 750 people have been arrested for peacefully protesting about the proscription of Palestine Action in the last two weeks, and the maximum penalty under the Terrorism Act for showing support for a proscribed organisation is 14 years... it looks like Yvette Cooper is going to become even more unpopular if even some of these protestors end up with long jail terms for merely peacefully holding up placards.
And its unlikely to get better!

I think youβre being far too negative about this. We should be congratulating the police for having solved all other crimes. At least, I can only assume that the reason that police forces around the country are sending officers to London to support the Met Police is because every crime in their area is solved. We should probably also cut their funding, since they clearly are employing too many people.
On the other hand, if this isnβt the reason, we should perhaps remember that the last government introduced elected police and crime commissioners.
