IMHO that some people feel more heard talking to an LLM than to people, says more about society than LLMs.
I don't think it's a funny gotcha to make fun of these people. The real question you should be asking is why there's nobody there for them to just talk like that.
If an LLM helps them, then that's entirely cool. Mental health is fucked up, we don't need to make fun of people that have it tough, go fucking help them or something if you're such a moral philanthropist? Laughing won't help 🤷
