#WorldLionDay reminds me of the mail slots on the side of the grand Post Office building in Valencia. (Photo: July 2010)

Two fierce-looking gold-colored lion heads side by side on a white (marble?) wall. The mouth of each lion is a wide slot for dropping in letters. The lion on the left is marked "Extranjero" (Foreign). On the right: "España" (Spain). The wall is the back of a shallow alcove that is protected by a roof with fancy wrought iron supports.
