😜 We're watching Der Schuh des Manitu - Extra Large.

It's a comedy. Kinda. I guess. Germans find it hilarious.

I find it cringe: racist as fuck, mysogenystic, and stuff I can't quite put a name to. Major cringe. "Indians" are white folks in redface, Italians, etm. Gay people are over-the-top swishy and limp-wristed, in pink. The "comedy" is stupider than (Top Secret, Naked Gun, et al). It beggars belief.

IMO & YMMV.

I tried explaining to my kissmate, who looked at me in disbelief. 🙄

A lot of Germans have a love for, and fascination with, North American western indigenous folk.

But this...

Dunno, man. Am I overreacting? My kissmate seriously sees nothing wrong, and laughs along. I physically make an eww! face most times I look up, and often actually cringe.

Apparently it's one of the highest performing German movies "since the war". 😮

The tribes are 'white' appellations. 'Stinking lizard' give me strength! 'Son of long white cloud from over distant mountain ' would be more likely. "go forth and prosper" xP
