We adore your puppy and you. You are no doubt well-informed that carrots are nutritionally neutral for dogs and just use them as sometimes-treats. I had to nudge someone about this last year.

@VictimOfSimony@infosec.exchange I'm not attempting to raise him vegetarian, if that's what you're worried about. it would never have occurred to me to give him apples or carrots but he kept begging for them.

(Pulpy plants make them feel full but the dog just passes them, so there is a risk of malnutrition if they become the majority of the dog's diet.)
