@ECityMom@mstdn.ca That is certainly another aspect of it — looking around at the way the gray hair transition progresses in others. Such a visible sign of aging, but often unrelated to other health factors.
Some people actually do go solid gray, vs I've clearly got the salt & pepper genes, with individual hairs either full color or bright white. And some people much older than I, like my best friend's mom, still have quite dark hair without dying it, while others seem to change drastically before they hit 40.
