@morebento@aus.social oh, I don't doubt the transit itself is good; trams, the trains, etc, it's vastly better than VIC is right now. The problem is that people can't handle street-level rail.

Most of the rail around here, light or heavy, is not guardrailed

@sortius@infosec.exchange hey look here in Adelaide we still have many train and tram level crossings, and several people are killed annually to this day by collisions. It has been this way for decades.

@morebento@aus.social we have a few train level crossings, but the state has spent billions grade separating them; either via skyrail or cuts.
