@peteriskrisjanis@toot.lv @dangillmor@mastodon.social if the US move farther away from taking measures to curb their emissions, it also affects the rest of the world. That is why this is bad.
Not the denial itself or the consequences for those who deny it, but for everyone else.
They are dragging us down with them. Even if all other countries were climate neutral, if the US keep spewing out emissions on an industrial scale, it would still get worse. Just slower.
We need the US to curb emissions

@klarnebel@mastodon.online πŸ’―πŸ’― And the destruction of important science data which are globally indispensable is already at work. Even with all the volunteers and scientists trying to save them, the destruction is nearly too big and fast.
