@da_667@infosec.exchange being a first timer this year, I was not prepared for just how massive it is. So many villages. Overwhelming without better pre-planning. Also, I definitely should not have gone to Blackhat and Defcon. I was already exhausted before Defcon even started. That being said, it has encouraged me to try and get more involved in my local cons and communities because yeah, I definitely want to become part of something bigger but thereβs no toehold for me in an event this big and established. Glad I came but if I ever do come back there will have to be more intention than βitβd be cool to go do thatβ.

@MzBlackwood@infosec.exchange Yeah. first year I went, I was overwhelmed trying to do everything all at once. Then after that, I focused on having a good time at Bsides LV (because honestly, It was more my speed and crowd anyway), and then I picked things I wanted to focus on, like doing skytalks, or specific villages doing cool things I'm interested.
I'm glad you had an opportunity to to, hope it was fun.
p.s. I see that you're K12infosec in your profile. As husband to a 1st grade teach, we're both thankful for the work you do. Cheers
