Our new sideboard has arrived....
40+ pieces plus 5 bags of hardware with hundreds of screws, bolts, cam locks, dowels, and glue.
Everything unboxed, so I'm going for a nap.

A partially built sideboard. The bottom, 2 side panels, two interior vertical dividers, and top are assembled together. Back panel, drawers, and cabinet doors will come next.

Zero progress this morning because we chose the community beach instead of being responsible and productive.

A photo of our local beach in Belle Ewart Ontario. Called Belle Aire Beach, it is located between private homes on either side and is approximately 50 metres wide. Two thirds of the shoreline is a sand beach.

Completed the sideboard last night. Took me approximately 6 hours spread over 2 days, but like 17th century furniture craftsmen, I chose patience over expediency. The 5 moving boxes, marked "dining room, remain unpacked and my wife has told me that updates on that task are not necessary. They are stacked where our Christmas tree is planned to be set up, so we have time.

A picture of the sideboard now completed. It is just under 2 metres long and less than a metre tall. There are two large cupboard doors, the height of the sideboard, on the outer sections. The middle section has two wide drawers with two smaller cupboard doors underneath. The color is a dark brown/black wood grain stain while the top mimicks a dark barnwood finish. A replica Tiffany lamp sits on top, turned on, and a print of a painting hangs above.
