"I'm a medium-sized kingfisher widespread in Africa and Asia. I'm mostly black and white with a black crest and eye mask, white eyebrows, and black breast bands. I'm frequently seen hovering over water before plunging to catch my prey. Unlike most kingfishers, I am not overly shy and I'm often found near human habitation."
