@celestiallavendar@icedoatmilk.coffee hm. they actually seem okay to me. I can't obviously tell a difference. but this is maybe because they are already fairly noisy, so a little bit of added noise is less noticeable?

what if you
$[rainbow ] them? does that maybe make it way more obvious, in the same way mine is obvious when rainbowed?

also, the middle has a lot of detail. let's compare that. do something like
$[scale.x=5,y=5 $[crop.top=40,bottom=40,left=40,right=40 : Dahlia-rainbow:]], and maybe x4 and rainbow it as well. let's compare just the middle. here's that transform on my emoji: pride_heart

Your clipout looks fine on my instance, I don't see any compression or noise on it at all at that scale.

they are though!! in the context of compression, "noisy" just means "having a lot of detail". your dahlia is clearly more intricate than my pride_heart. there is simply more detail; more noise.

@sodiboo@gaysex.cloud Yeah the rainbow dahlia was made as a full sized piece, so it is a bit squished at emoji size. The other solid color dahlias are designed at emoji size, so I imagine they probably look worse blown up but better small.
