The one to the upper left look like something I use for grasping and pulling needles that I'm having trouble getting through heavy fabric or leather.
The small very pointed ones are good when snipping tiny threads like embroidery.

The ones with bright plastic handles are for paper.

I have a palm thimble to push the needle as far as I can, but often need something to finish pulling it out the other side if going through the seam/pocket edge.
