#commodore64 PAL conversion in progress. At this point, if you have a dead NTSC VIC, the USD $2 crystal oscillator and a PAL VICII from Europe is your best bet. #retrocomputing

VICII socket (empty) next to the jumper for PAL/NTSC that has been moved to the PAL position. A crystal oscillator has been removed and sits atop the empty VICII socket. The new oscillator sits in its place on the board.
