It’s worth noting that the charger circuit was made so it annoyingly blinks when the battery is disconnected, and the LED is traced directly to the charger IC and can’t be turned off. The only way to make it stop is to plug in a battery.

Since single-use vapes provide a virtually endless supply of free LiPo batteries, I just cracked one open and voilΓ : no more blinking.

It lasted about a year or something? I wonder what went wrong: is it the charger IC, or are there more corners cut during battery manufacturing than I have in my flat?
