Question for Montrealers: In a perfect world, what existing rail infrastructure around the city could be used to create useful and potentially popular new lines?

@heliomass@mstdn.ca Isn't the REM supposed to be exactly that?

@enviromontreal@mstdn.ca You make a good point. I’d argue though the REM is more like London’s Elizabeth Line or Thameslink as it cuts through the centre of town but goes further out than the Metro. The Overground does a circuit of London and (with a couple of exceptions) doesn’t go into the centre. I feel Montreal could benefit from some frequent services going round the outside. To reference London again (sorry!) they’re attempting to link up the suburbs with the Superloop: https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/buses/superloop
