A model of scenes from the Brecon & Merthyr Railway, pre-grouping, either in N or 2mm
Pros:
It would be interesting
It would be different
It would be pretty
Cons:
Lots of scratchbuilding
There are lots of nice scenes along the line - Machen works, Machen station, Dowlais Central station, Morlais Jn, Pontsticill station - but stitching them together into one layout would be tricky
It could be biiiig

Somewhere in Lincolnshire, either in N or 2mm. Possible locations: Louth, somewhere in Grimsby, Woodhall Junction,
Pros:
I know all the area really well
Plenty of RTR stuff available in N nowadays
Cons:
Don't have much of it already
Potentially space needed

Moorswater in Cornwall, in 4mm (EM or P4), circa 1900, with fictional passenger services added in the Caradon direction
Pros:
Pretty, interesting, unusual
Well-documented
Cons:
Entirely scratchbuilding, probably beyond my skill level atm
