Canada has lowered the price cap on Russian oil from $60 to $47.60 per barrel, joining European allies, Reuters reports. The Canadian finance minister said the move aims to cut Russiaβs revenues and increase pressure on Moscow, limiting a key source of funding for its war. In July, the EU and UK also reduced the oil price cap by 15% under their 18th sanctions package.
