The bill validator on my vending machine is throwing codes.
I'm decent at disassembly of things and mostly putting them back together, but diagnostics are a different animal.
It also doesn't help that the multimeter probes that I have are not suited for piercing through conformal coating.
The closest repair shop that has reasonable terms have a $130 flat fee, and it's basically a like for like swap. For that price, I'd like to learn what the heck went wrong so I have an idea what to repair next time.
I might just be bold enough to reverse engineer the boards and put them up for free online, just to spite the repair gods. (I have never done this before, don't hold me to my late night rambles)
