- 4 solid blue counties
- 216 solid red counties

There are no registered Republicans or Democrats in Texas. We don't do that. I won't dispute those numbers for Republican and Democratic voters, though.

You can be affiliated with a party, but it's not the same as being being registered as in other states. Voters can vote in either party's primary elections regardless of affiliation.
