@doskel@masto.doskel.net Deep eh...
I always hated how Mac and iOS devices were locked down and prone to removing features, and I used Macs for way more than five years. Steve Jobs ran Apple better than Tim Cook hands-down. I miss what Apple was, and I hate how Apple is now.
That doesn't mean I don't fix Mac-specific bugs or deny Logic from using my chip SF2 if they want to. I prefer just to not even engage with Apple these days, and honestly nobody should and furthermore, desktop computers that are not quantum ternary or x86 should be banned. Phones can still use ARM. I have MANY fascinating opinions on how RISC desktops are and were a mistake and forever will be. RISC is inherently a big downgrade in terms of being able to do shit. Nothing shall change this viewpoint of mine, you have my word. x86 and quantum ternary for the win. Also why ternary? It's so booleans can never be limited to just male or female. Yes, I actually want to ban binary quantum computing over gender, as someone who made BWTC32Key and its non-binary Base32768-based .B3K file format which I've turned into other formats via using it on shit like TTF or even to make a better version of the Geek Code and ALL its surviving variants. I have a whole set of formats that use it. Believe me, the gender being bitmasks in SO many Nintendo games is SO bad that I want to more-or-less make it so ALL computers after 2045 are Quantum ternary when I run for president in 2040, AND emulate other architectures and are closest to x86 and/or at least CISC. No RISC quantum architecture here in America.
Unless of course it's the only way to make quantum.
Oh and I'd ban shit like the removal of 3.5mm and SD (even SPI mode must remain and be added back to SDUC), and all such Apple fuckups, even down to banning walled gardens and cryptographic means of preventing user code from running. And yes, this includes banning RSA and Blowfish. AES FTW. Oh and I'd also ban Apple's app moderation in its current state and all sorts of other things done or even contemplated by Apple, before outright banning their operations and sanctioning any country trying to harbor them. And then forcing them to give up ALL their private keys. Like, this is all designed to undo decades of fuckups Apple has made to technology in the most thorough way possible, with no possibility of appeal. Fucking with tech the way Apple did even if uninvolved is also banned
I do not forget what has been taken from me, so in fifteen years things will be VERY different, at their newest, 2017. Oh and ALL the Patriot Act internet traffic dumps would be analyzed for lost media that then gets released for everyone and then we proceed to nullify copyright and on and on.
Giving one of the most zany and hurt tech geeks of all time the highest office in the land will lead to wild but good shit happening. At least for the Linux/Fedi crowd anyways.
