DO NOT TRACK ON AN APP.

A CA jury found Meta in violation of state privacy laws for collecting health data from users of the Flo period-tracking app without consent.

The class action lawsuit claimed Meta used data such as menstrual cycles, sexual activity, and fertility goals to support its advertising tools.

Internal communications presented in court showed Meta employees allegedly discussing the collected data, which included information users entered into the app from 2016 to 2019.
