I'm probably too honest when filling out job applications.

I recently applied for a senior front-end role that had a hide & seek challenge where I had to compile a URL from a DOM tree. I then had to load said URL in a React app revealing the single word, typewriter-style.

I then said Svelte was better than React. A few days later I got a generic decline email.

Oh well.

Find an employer who values forthright, expert feedback more than some performative corporate bullshit, and that's somewhere you're way more likely to be treated well and enjoy working!

But you knew that already. 😉
