Apple’s entire Core Data infrastructure is built on top of SQLite.

Unless you’re expecting massive concurrent write requests, or
huge read volume, it’s fine.

I’d argue it’s better than MySQL under any conditions, because it at least its implementation of referential integrity is correct.
