Sliced up a second perfect pineapple.
I am the pineapple whisperer.
I miss my pineapple tweezers though.

@mayintoronto@beige.party rhh hi is weeks’ pineapples weee good!
And I too learned that pineapple tweezers were a thing;
I have to up my pineapple cutting game apparently;
@mayintoronto@beige.party TIL there are pineapple tweezers.
@michaelgemar@mstdn.ca I brought home 3 things for my dad from China:
- A fancy tea set
- A fancy pu'er cake (This is tea, not cake.)
- A $2 pair of pineapple tweezers.
Ever wonder why store bought pineapple suck? It's because they cut out just the core and this perfect cylinder. But real pineapples aren't cylinders. The best, juiciest flesh is closest to the skin, which all gets cut away with this cylinder nonsense.
When dad prepped pineapples, he'd cut out the spines manually in a pretty spiral pattern.
In China, I saw the pineapple vendors sit there and rapidly pick away all of the spines in seconds. It's like a larger set of tweezers with a tip meant for pinching out pieces of pineapple.
Dad loved the pineapple tweezers the most.
