I just, the Atlantic pisses me off because people take it seriously and it could not more obviously be a propaganda shop for US imperialism, and increasingly, a liberal gateway to the embrace of fascist political policies. There has never straight up been a time when the Atlantic was good, it's absolutely written for the white executive (and up) class in our society, but like I gotta draw a line someplace and for me it's "supporting nazi kidnappings" and or "protecting rich child rapists."

The key here is I expect these people to lie for power, I am however infuriated at how stupid they think I am. And the two examples I cited really do prove that point:

Trump is in the middle of snatching student anti-genocide protestors off the streets and seizing control of universities and the Atlantic rolls out a "well akckshully antisemitism on Columbia's campus is OUT OF CONTROL" article as it is all going down. Obviously they're TRYING to give bougie lib cover to KIDNAPPING students.

I actually don't care if you share Atlantic articles, I'm just fucking insulted and that's kinda hard to do given how much US media I consume.

But this outlet? Is dogshit, and they slip ALL KINDS of weird nazi-sympathetic shit into a solid 60-65% of their material. So even if they're saying something you agree with on the whole, you gotta read it carefully because they are PROBABLY pushing reactionary propaganda at the same time.

That's all. I'm not actually mad at Fedi posters.
